Why Management of Human Errors?
Human errors affect both team dynamics and performance, and the associated consequences and losses can be translated into time, energy, and resources. By understanding the factors that lead us to errors, we together build prevention strategies that can be applied within the team. Inspired by the study of aviation accidents, this course is based on knowledge about how people work, with the goal of improving performance by reducing errors.
- Changing perspective: We accept that making errors is human and view them as opportunities for learning.
- Identifying the factors that lead us to errors and preventing them through collaboration, communication, and feedback.
- Risk analysis by applying conceptual models related to errors.
