FIRST TIME MANAGER – HPDI

FIRST TIME MANAGER

Designed for managers at the beginning of their journey

In the current business context, challenges and changes occur at every step of the way. To turn a successful employee into an effective leader, we need to approach his becoming strategically so that his “training” will help him meet the challenges ahead.

Beyond the individual aspects, the leader must identify the meaning he gives to group dynamics by using emotional and management skills. He will be able to guide teams in achieving goals, understanding values, communication, collaboration and conflict management.

The Academy stimulates, in a unique manner, the development of the skills necessary for any future leader, encouraging proactivity and a “can do” attitude.

Learning Journey

The fact that you do not find the same two people in a team is a great advantage but also a challenge. Some people are more task oriented, others are oriented towards human relationships. Some are more introverted, others more extroverted, some more competitive, others more cautious. Diversity often creates conflict and misunderstandings, but equally can unite and bring results when effective communication is the common goal.

During the sessions, leaders will learn how to use assertiveness, feedback, and other message formulation and structuring techniques to help the team communicate information openly, succinctly and concisely, actively listening, recognizing differences in personal styles, overcoming barriers, and adapting speeches to situations and people.

Authentic leadership is an act of balancing personal values, organization values and your mission, and teams are true emotional incubators. The contagious energy of positive emotions can lead to effective collaboration, trust and progress. Negative emotions, on the other hand, such as frustration, anger or insecurity, can work against the team and negatively impact collaboration and results

The leader must identify the meaning he gives to these emotional group dynamics and use his management skills to guide teams in achieving goals and understanding values.

“If you want to change your life start by making your bed,” said a famous speech. Paraphrasing, we could say that if you want to become an intraprenor, with initiative, creativity and vision in the organization, start by managing your time efficiently!

The tools of this course help participants to discover the true resources of emotional resilience, how to identify the level of resilience in the team, and how to gradually build teams and organizations that take into account emotional health.

Resilience and stress management techniques, as well as empathic communication are essential conditions to innovate during crises and to persevere when the goal has not been achieved. Psychological concepts will become easy-to-use, effective tools at the personal and team level to move to the next level of performance.

Behavioral analysis and analysis of skill levels acquired, as well as suggestions for transferring knowledge into professional practice.
