Why Public Speaking?
This course provides you with a trusted model for preparing and delivering effective presentations. In business, in school, and in public life, we are often called upon to “make a few remarks.” Often, those tasked with such speeches become disoriented. They may not know what to talk about or may veer off-topic without making a specific point.
This course is designed to help you shine where others struggle. We will learn how to organize discussions clearly, write them memorably, and deliver them with confidence. By the end of the course, you should be able to significantly reduce the fear of public speaking, use rehearsal techniques to develop a strong and vibrant voice, and support speeches with dynamic movements and gestures. The speaking model we will practice is useful for briefings, elevator pitches, interviews, and even as a structure for hour-long presentations.
